Hello all you 52,398 people. I'm talking to you. You are the people who voted for medical marijuana in this County. Fifty-two THOUSAND, plus! So, I bet you're wondering, what's happening?
We are ready to move forward. We should have been able to get access to something passed months ago by the MAJORITY our citizens. It is legal. What's going on?
Where are the dispensaries? Where are the doctors stepping up to this century? One way or another, this idiotic law that made marijuana a Class A drug, will one day be talked about by people saying, "imagine how stupid those people were?"
We, the majority, have got to start making noise. There are too many illnesses that will benefit by the use of this legal, and natural, plant. It's being held up by bureaucracy. It is us against them. They may have the power, but we have the numbers.
They will continue to put us off because the drug companies have them in their pockets. They have archaic beliefs, are narrow minded, or, are just plain, ignorant. Why should they control us when the law is on our side?
Only those of us who know the benefits that different strains of cannabis can produce need have interest. You don't want to? You don't. But the rest of us? Time to make some noise. For us and for them, who know not what they do. Citrus County would benefit greatly by being the "county of why not?" if only it wasn't led by old-fashioned, uptight, individuals who probably knock back a few, or more, every night, but that's okay. Booze has been legal for years. Drunks are in. "Stoners", are to be held back. Fools. Every single one of them.
This County in particular (if it ever wised up) could be on the cutting edge of the future. There is money to be made, there are cures to be had, there is pain relief at our fingertips. Open your eyes people. Why isn't it here where and when we need it?!
